Name the most common disease associated with C. difficile.
Pseudomembranous colitis.
What causes pseudomonas colitis?
Usage of broad spectrum antibiotic treatment(clindamicin or ampicillin) results in suppression of normal GI flora and proliferation of C. difficile. It is usually acquired from the hospital environment.
