Labile affect-characterized by rapid changes in emotion unrelated to external events or stimuli.
Labile affect-rapid shifts in outward emotional expressions; often associated with organic brain syndromes such as intoxication. The MH book says that it is a rapid shifting of emotions related to those with boarderline personality disorder. |
