-one person holds one end, while the other removes opposite pole from ground (be sure not to let it touch the ground)
-have person with free loops put aroudn wrist and start walking towards other end, folding nets like accordian at arms length
-once net is fully accordianed, take loops of other person pole and tie white loops thru black loops for each side
-fold net up neatly with one set of loops on top and the other on the bottom
-carefully place in bag and drawsting.

belt transect- swim in straight path with t-shaped stick with top of t horizontally in front of you (of given length).. this t line acts as transect of given width, record what enters it.. difficulties- depth perception, current, schools, species diferentiating, what is criteria

-broad scale monitoring/manta tow- pulled behind a boat while holding onto disk like structure, constant speed thru constant area ideally for two minutes.. adv range, disadv.. how rememebr and how hold breath

permamnet quad- select area of study and stake down a quadrant to the ocean floor. study whats within.. issues- damaging potentially, loose time to put in wuadrant.. need equipemtn?

-bring together loops, fastening each level of loops of mist net to the stake (do not overlap_
-grab center of mist net, forming first around netting and roll net in certain direction for approx 15 times (take not of direction).. if ends are loose, wrap separately.
-UNDO: untuck netting from loops, and rotate in opposite direction. if not undone compelte, from one stake being plucking an yanking net inorder to separate panels.
-then use stick to separate loops to open panels
