What happens to air in a bag when it is heated?

It gets hoter and the bag will rise

What does latitude have to do with temperature?
|
Near the poles the earth is always slanted. during summer, sun shines 24/7 and it is mild. during winter sun doesn't shine and it is COLD

What does altitude have to do with temperature?
|
As you get high above sea level, temperature decreases. Even at the equator
|

What do land and water masses have to do with temperature?
|
land cools/heats faster than water so land regions have hot summers and cold winters. Sea regions have cooler summers and milder winters

What does the direction of prevailing winds have to do with temperature?
|
On the pacific coast, the winds blow off of the ocean. In the east coast, the winds blow hotter, off of the land

What do mountain ranges and plains have to do with temperature?
|
larger mountains don't allow the weather to pass over. Rocky mountains block the mild west coast climate from the great plains. The great plains allow cold winds to speed from the pols to the gulf and hot winds to move from south to north

How do currents affect temperature?
|
Westerlies blow from the gulf stream to england and heat it. Cold winds blow from the labrador current and bring in colder weather. THat is why southern Sweeden and the British Isles have different temperatures.
