what is Mesopotamia ?

this means area between the tigris and euphrates rivers

what were the three environmental problems?

1.unreliable flooding;periods of little to no rain

1. Hunter-gathers:most people in the tribe involved in food




2. during the transition to farming , food production is higher ,but most are still involved in agriculture




3. advances in technology allow for more food to be produced by a smaller percentage of the population




4. surplus of grain accumulate granaries.




5. farmers realize they can exchange extra grain for goods and service from others




6. people who are more skilled in other areas (pottery,metal working,etc)




7. market places emerge where people go to exchange goods and service




8. while grain was likely initially used as a currency to trade




9. money-in the form of coins- would eventually be accepted as a common currency.
