Torsades de Pointes, v-fib / v-tach in patients felt to be hypomagnesemic, refractory v-fib, preeclampsia and eclampsia, refractory bronchoconstriction, TCA OD (if QRS is wide)

Shock, heart block

respiratory depression, renal failure

Hypotension, respiratory depression, flushing, loss of deep-tendon reflexes

Dosage
Cardiac Arrest: 1-2 g
Cardiac (with pulse): 1-2 g, over 5-60 minutes
Eclampsia: 2-4 g, over 5-60 minutes
Bronchoconstriction: 2 grams IV, over 5-60 minutes
