Baker's, bone

Limited extension with mild aching and stiffness of knee. Occur at any age, but more frequent in males 15 to 30 years of age. Aetiology unknown.
Paget's disease, osteitis deformans
Chronic inflammation of bones, resulting in thickening and softening of bones. Paget's quickens pace of breakdown and build up of bone causing structurally disorganized bone that is mishapen and larger than normal.
Hansen's disease
Leprosy. Chronic infectious disease. Characterized by granulomatous lesions on skin, mucous membranes, peripheral nervous system and bones.
Albers-Schonberg disease
A syndrome of excessive calcification of bones causing marble like appearance with increased radiological density of the skeleton.
Legg-Calve-Perthes disease
Disorder characterized by unilateral or bilateral aseptic necrosis of the emphysis of the head of the femur (caput femoris).
Osgood-Schlatter disease
Osteochondrosis of the tuberosity of the tibia. One of the most common causes of knee pain in the adolescent.
