Amniocentensis
A before-birth diagnostic procedure during which a long needle is used to obtain amniotic fluid from within the uterus. This fluid can be used for genetic and other diagnostic tests.
Eclampsia
A condition in which one or more convulsions occur in a pregnant woman suffering from high blood pressure, often followed by coma and posing a threat to the health of mother and baby.
Multgravida
A woman who has been pregnant more than once. ( Having More Than One Pregnancies)
Parity
The state of having given birth to an infant or infants
Preeclampsia
A state during pregnancy in which the expectant mother develops high blood pressure after 20 weeks.
Prenatal
Pertaining to the period of time during pregnancy; that is, before the birth of the baby.
Wet Mount
A glass slide holding a specimen suspended in a drop of liquid (as water) for microscopic examination; also : a specimen mounted in this way.

Papanicolau test
A screening test for cervical cancer that involves the microscopic examination of cells collected from the cervix, smeared on a slide, and specially stained. ( A Pap Test )
Menopause
