Prinzmetal’s Angina
Pain in the chest caused by a pure coronary vasospasm.
Nitrate Tolerance
Diminished hemodynamic and therapeutic effect on the same dose of nitrate, associated with chronic administration.
Troponin
a protein found in muscle tissue that binds calcium ions and is involved in contraction. It is released when damage to the heart muscle occurs, as well.
Acute myocardial infarction
Involves death of the myocardium usually due to prolonged ischemic (>30 minutes). Damage is irreversible and results in fibrous scar formation.
Angina Pectoris
A clinical syndrome characterized by pain or discomfort primarily to the chest, but may also be described in the jaw, shoulder, back, or arm. Most commonly due to heart disease.

New onset of angina, which is more severe, frequent, or prolonged in nature. Often occurring at rest and not associated with exertion.
