What is a fungi?

Fungi are eukaryotic,spore bearing,acholorophylus, saprobic or parasitic organisms that reproduce sexually or asexually and whose usually filamentous branched structures are typically surrounded by cell walls containing chitin or cellulose or both of these substances together with many other complex molecules and whose cell membranes contain sterols.
