3. Ev. of canals and swamp reclamation projects.

4. Terracing of hill slopes, planting kitchen gardens and tree cropping.

A.D. 1250-1450 due to warfare and politics Maya started to collapse.

By the time the Spanish arrived the Maya were much changed; society decentralised and pop. was scattered.
