Ordinal Numbers

numbers used to order people or objects (first, second, etc.)


digit

the symbols 0, 1, 2, etc. used to write numbers


place value

the value given to the place that a digit has in a number (In 346, the place value of the 3 is hundreds)


expanded form

a number written as the sum of the value of the digits (293 = 200+90+3)


standard form

a way to write a number showing only its digits (125)


word form

a way to write a number using words (34 = thirty four)

order
