Dilation

a transformation that produces an image that is the same shape, but different size; created by multiplying distances from a center

Scale Factor

is the ratio of a length in the image compared to the length in the original figure

Enlargement

a scale factor greater than 1. The image is bigger than the pre-image

Reduction

A scale factor less than 1. The image is smaller than the pre-image
