THE TURKISH EMBASSY LETTERS

SUMMARY- Between 1716-1718, Lady MWM accompanied her husband during his appointment as ambassador to the Ottoman Empire, travelling overland through Vienna, Belgrade, and Adrianople, staying in Constantinople, and returning via Tunis, Genoa, and Paris. The Turkish Embassy Letters is a selection from the letters she wrote during that embassy; she worked on it during her lifetime but it was not published until after her death in 1762.
