Martin Luther king

Jamestown

July 30th 1619

First general assembly of VA. This consisted. Of the gov 6 councils and 22 burgesses in a church in Jamestown. The assembly saw the need for the wives in the colony so 90 young women were sent to Jamestown and was sold to men. Also Dutch warship traded 20 American slaves for supply. They were the first African salves in British America. Extermination of the native Americans in the early colonial America.

Bacon's rebellion

1675 Nathaniel bacon a local planter was spreading into Indians territory, causing tension with the doge Indians. Killing herdsmen, led a group of militiamen and killed 10 doge and 14 susquehannocks.
