All members of the Armed Services take some part in upholding the UCMJ.
A. Any person can report a violation of the UCMJ to competent military authority.
If violator can be identified then report the violation to the suspects commander, if the violator can not be identified then report the violation to law enforcement or Investigative personnel or the appropriate persons in the chain of command.
B. Military law enforcement officials, commissioned, warrant, petty, and noncommissioned officers may apprehend violators.
C. Staff judge advocates and legal officers are responsible for administering the UCMJ.
