MARIANA TRANCH is the DEEPEST part of the earth that is ABOVE THE CRUST. The PACIFIC OCEANS Mariana Trench is at 11,033 meters (36,201 feet) deep.

It can be found just EAST of the Mariana Islands, near JAPAN, in the PACIFIC OCEAN.

The DEEPEST PART of the Mariana Trench is the CHALLENGER DEEP, names after the British vessel HMS CHALLENGERII

At a DEPTH of 150 meters (about 500 feet), there is LITTLE LIGHT LEFT, and COLORS are NOT VISIBLE to the HUMAN EYE


The TEMPERATURE is just a FEW DEGREES above FREEZING. The WATER PRESSURE at the bottom is a CRUSHING EIGHT TONS per square INCH.
