Quick Stop

-Begin stop by smoothly lowering collective, right pedal, and simultaneous aft cyclic
-Apply aft cyclic and additional decreased collective as needed to maintain altitude -To prevent ballooning, decrease collective and/or less aft cyclic -As airspeed is lost, aircraft settles -Slowly increase collective (left pedal) to control rate of descent -Add forward cyclic to level aircraft, settle to 3-5 ft hover |

Settling with Power
|
- Begin at at least 1500' AGL.
- Point into the wind and establish an OGE hover. - Lower collective to establish a descent rate of 500 FPM - recover by lowering collective 1-2 inches and pitching down to fly out of the vortices. - As soon as the airspeed is alive, bring in full climb power and pitch for a 40 knot attitude. |

Low RPM recovery
|

As the aircraft descenda through 200' AGL, make an immediate recovery if the following conditions do not exist:
|
- rotor RPM at or above 97%. -airspeed 60-70 knots. -Rate of descent below 1500 FPM

The helicopter to "balloon" and possibly overspeed. So first apply less aft (some fwd) if needed. THEN bump collective to stop overspeed RPM still climbing
