Magnetic Domains

Magnetic substances like iron, cobalt, and nickel are composed of small areas where the groups of atoms are aligned like the poles of a magnet. These regions are called domains. at first the magnetic domains are not aligned in the same direction but when the magnet attracts the magnetic domains align in the same direction

Permanent Magnets

Permanent magnet is an object made from a material that is magnetized and creates its own persistent magnetic field."permanent magnet" means that it always has a magnetic field.

Temporary Magnet

Temporary magnets act like a permanent magnet when they are in a strong magnetic field but lose the magnetism when the field is gone. like paper clips.
