Evolutionary-psychology approach
argues that various species gradually change over the course of many generations so that they can adapt better to their enviroment.
Social-role Approach
men and women often occupy different social opportunities and social disadvantages. (i.e. women have more limited finacial resources in our culture--which means women are forced to focus o a partner's ability to earn money.
Cohabitation

refers to women's domination in Black families. Women in Black familes were suppose to be so dominant that they presumably emasculated Black men and encouraged other family problems.

refers to anyone (female or male) who has a same-gender attraction.
Heterosexism
bias against lesbians, gay males and bisexuals.
Fluid lesbians
women who question or changed their lesbian sexual identity at some point.
Bisexual woman
a women who is psychologically,emotionally, and sexually attacted to both women and men.
Social constructionist approach
argues that oour culture creates sexual categories which we use to organize our thoughts about our sexuality.
Intimate careers approach
suggests that we humans take a variety of pathways as we develop our intimate relationships.
