Hyperbole
is an exaggeration, sometimes an outrageous exaggeration, not meant to be taken literally, used to make a comparison, e.g. "He is as strong as a horse."
Metonymy
is a figure of speech in which the name of one thing is used in place of another associated with or suggested by it. e.g. "the White House" instead of "the President of the United States of America"
