In drama, few words or a short passage spoken by one character to the audience while the other actors on stage pretend their characters cannot hear the speaker's words. Threatrical convention that this is not audible to other characters on stage. Usu. indicated by stage directions.

Foot/feet
A basic unit of meter consisting of a set number of strong stresses and light stresses.

A two-syllable unit or foot of poetry consisting of a heavy stress followed by a light stress.
