What is the calculation used for LDL?
LDL= Total Cholesterol - HDL - (Triglyceride/5)
Breifly explain the Endongenous pathway.
1. A decrease in cholesterol will stimulate the excretion of HMG-CoA reductase(rate controling enzyme)
2.VLDL produced initally in the liver will be released out into circulation
3. When VLDL enters the capillaries, ApoC II (found on VLDL) will combine with LP L
4. This allows for the formation of IDL which circulates back to the liver to begin the cycle again.
