What is grammar?

The study of how words and their parts are put together to form sentences in a language.

Define Descriptive Grammar

The grammar that focuses on how people actually put words together to form sentences in English.

Define Prescriptive Grammar

The grammar that focuses on how educated people say words SHOULD be put together to form sentences.

Define a Dialect
