What is egocentrism?

Viewing the world from ones own personal perspective.

1. Stable order principle- Children realize numbers must be said in a certain order.
2. One-to-one principle- Each item is assigned one number and only one number. 3. Cardinal principle- The last number in the count is the total. |

|

|
If two objects share a common quality then they are the same. eg. all 2 legged animals are chickens.

|

The understanding that an amount or quantity is unchanged by alterations to an objects shape or placement.

|
No give and take. Parents demand what children do because they are like a dictator.

Describe the Authoritative parenting style.

Give and take. Guide children and explain their decisions.

Does not tell child what to do. Very few rules and warm to their children.Lets child choose what to do and parents are non confrontational.

|
Unconcerned with their children. Low demandingness and low warmth.

Contains a certain type of warmth and affection.

What is traditional parenting?
|
Traditional male and female roles. Mother is nurturing and father is authoritarian.

Children play with the same toys others near them are playing with but play independently.
