Victor, The Wild Boy of Aveyron
He was a feral child who apparently lived his entire childhood naked and alone in the woods before being found wandering the woods near Saint-Sernin-sur-Rance, France, in 1797.
Captured, but soon escaped, after being displayed in the town.
He was additionally periodically spotted in 1798 and 1799.
Genie of California
She spent nearly all of the first thirteen years of her life locked inside a bedroom strapped to a potty chair.
Victim of one of the most severe cases of social isolation in American history. Discovered by Los Angeles authorities on November 4, 1970.
Oxana Malaya
Oxana Malaya (Оксана Малая) (born November 1983) was found as an 8-year-old feral child in Ukraine in 1991, having lived most of her life in the company of dogs. She was cared for by dogs and learned their behaviours and mannerisms. She growled, barked and crouched like a wild dog, sniffed at her food before she ate it, and was found to have acquired extremely acute senses of hearing, smell, and sight.
Erik Erikson
He was born on June 15, 1902 and died on May 12, 1994. His interest in identity developed early on in life based upon his own experiences in school.
