aligment:refers to the position of text between the margins
bullet: is any small character that appears before an item.
center: put the text in the center.
first-line indente: is when only the first line is indented.
hanging indent: in which the first full line of text is not indented but the following lines are.
indent: is the space between text and document's margin.
inside margin (gutter margin): are the margins closet to the inside of the page, near the binding.
justify: aling text to both side left and right margins, adding extra space between the words as necesary
leader: are solid, dotted, or dashed lines that fill the blank space before a tab setting.

multilevel list: is a list with two or more levels of bullets or numbering.
negative indent: by dragging the indent markers on the ruler to the left past the left margin.
outline numbered list: called multilevel list
outside margin: are the margins closet to the edge of the page.
right align: aling the text to the right.
tab stop (tab): mark the place where the intersection point will stop when you press tab.
vertical alignment: refers to positioning text between the top and bottom margins of a document.
