-And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

James 1:14
-Everyone IS tempted
-We sin because we are drawn away with our own lust.
-This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
-For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
-But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
-Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
-Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
-Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
-But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
-Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:16-23
-And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
-For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
-If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Hebrews 12:5-7
- Don't despise the punishment or correction of the Lord.
-If we endure pass the chastening, the Lord will deal with us as with sons.
-For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
-For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
-But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
II Peter 2:20-22
-If we go back into the world after coming into the truth.
-We would be worst than what we were when we first came in.
-It would have been better for them not to have come in the truth at all.
-Dog = another nation
-We vomited the pollutions of the world.
-Returning back into your wickedness
-Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
-There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
I Corinthians 10:12-13

-Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
-That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
I Peter 1:5-7
