Vocative rule says the Nominative & Vocative are the same, but there are 3 exceptions.
1. 2nd declension masculine nouns & adjectives where the Nominative ends in -us, the vocative ending is -e. ex.magnus=magne
2. 2nd declension masculine nouns where the Nominative ends in -ius, the Vocative ending is -i replacing the -ius. ex.Virgilius=Virgili
