No. They communicate but it is too basic to be language |

Define phonolgy. |
The structure of sounds of the words of the language. The sounds of languages are build from sets of phonemes. |

Defibe syntax. |
Rules for how words in a sentence should be structured. |

Define aphasia. |
A person with brain damage that affects their language abilities . |

Define semantics. |
The meaning of a word or sentence. |

Define morpheme. |
Base unit of semantics. The smallest unit of meaning in a language. E.g. walking, two morpheme, walk and presently occuring. |

Define pragmatics. |
Linguistics: Implied meaning not literal. General : focused on the reality not an ideal. |
