Principles of Goal Seleciton for Grammatical Targets in DL period
1) help child UNDERSTAND and USE SYNTAX to communicate effectively

2) producing a target at 90% correct is NOT ENOUGH; form must be used in REAL COMMUNICATION
Pragmatics
- should be incorporated into intervention program instead of being adressed as an isolated skill
- b/c PRAGMATNICS IS CONTEXT in which INTERVENTIONS occur
- clinician should practice language targets in VARIETY of CONTEXTS
