Approach Speed
10KIAS above threshold speed.
Threshold Speed
Speed based on a safety margin above stall speed, predicated on flap position (0%, 50%, 100%), minimum of 102KIAS at 100% flaps
• Above 100,000LBS the 100% flap threshold speed is essentially the same as the 50% flap Vobs. |
Touch Down Speed
~6KIAS below Thresholg Speed.
Landing Distance over a 50’ obstacle
Horizontal distance necessary to land and come to a complete stop from 50’ over the usable approach threshold.
Landing Ground Roll
From touchdown the distance required to come to a complete stop, if touchdown is accomplished at scheduled touchdown speed.
Power Lever Transition
At airspeeds greater than 145 KTAS, moving power levers from flight idle to ground idle, causes propellers to overspeed at a frequency that can trip the generators offline, resulting in a loss of anti-skid breaking. Most likely at high gross weights and high density altitudes.
