Apothecary System
A system of weights and measures used by physicians & Pharmacists.
Handbreadth

Route: 25 degree angle IV

Administer just under skin, used for allergy and TB testing.

Smallest syringe.

Smallest syringe that is calibrated into units.

A small sealed glass tube which contains medication.

Dorsogluteal (gluteus medius) muscle
Most commonly used when a deep intramuscular IM injection is needed for injecting irritating or viscaus (thick) medications
Ventrogluteal (Gluteus Medius) muscle
Is considered safer than Dorsogluteal site since the gluteus medius muscle does not contain major nerves and blood vessels.
