Levator Scapula
A: Unilaterally - Elevate the scapula, downwardly rotate the scapula, laterally flex the head and neck, rotate the head and neck to the same side
Bilaterally - Extend the neck

O: Transverse processes of 1st to 4th cervical vertebrae

I: Upper region of medial border and superior angle of scapula
Serratus Anterior
A: With the origin fixed: abduct the scapula, depress the scapula, hold the medial border of the scapula against the rib cage
If scapula is fixed: May act in forced inhalation

O: Surfaces of upper eight or nine ribs

I: Anterior surface of medial border of the scapula
Pectoralis Major
A: All fibers: Adduct the shoulder, medially rotate the shoulder, assist in elevating the thorax in forced inhalation (if arm is fixed)
Upper Fibers - flex the shoulder, horizontally adduct the shoulder
Lower Fibers - extend the shoulder

O: Medial half of clavicle, sternum and cartilage of 1st through 6th ribs

I: Crest of greater tubercle of humerus
Pectoralis Minor
A: Depress the scapula, Abduct the scapula, Tilt the scapula anteriorly
If scapula is fixed: Assist in forced inhalation

O: 3rd - 5th ribs

I: Coracoid process of the scapula
Subclavius
A: Draw clavicle interiorly and anteriorly, elevate first rib (to assist in inhalation), stablize the sternoclavicular joint.

O: 1st rib and cartilage

I: inferior, lateral aspect of the clavicle
Biceps Brachii
A: Flex the elbow, supinate the forearm, flex the shoulder

O: Short heard - coracoid process of scapula
Long head - Supraglenoid tubercle of scapula

I: Tuberosity of the radius and aponeurosis of the biceps brachii
Triceps Brachii
A: All heads: Extend the elbow
Long head: Extend the shoulder, adduct the shoulder

O: Long head - infraglenoid tubercle of the scapula
Lateral head - Posterior surface of proximal half of the humerus
Medial Head - Posterior surface of distal half of the humerus

I: Olecranon process of the ulna
Coracobrachialis
A: Flex the shoulder, adduct the shoulder

O: Coracoid process of the scapula

A: Flex the elbow, assist to pronate and supinate the forearm when these movements are resisted
