PLYMOUTH COLONY
In North America from 1620 to 1691 that was an English colonial venture. It was one of the earliest colonies by The English. It also was important to king Phillip’s War.
MAYFLOWER COMPACT 1620
It was the first governing document in the colony. The compact was signed on November 11, 1620.
HEADRIGHT SYSTEM
In Jamestown, Virginia which started in 1618 that was for trying to solve labor shortages. It attracted immigrants too. A headright was a legally given piece of land to settlers

They are usually under a contract and their owner feeds them and gives them necessities in return for their work. They are usually doing work for years before the owner is paid off. They did the tobacco crop in the 17th and 18th centuries in America.

PROCLAMATION OF 1763
Was on October 7, 1763 by king George III after Great Britain acquiring French territory in North America after the end of the French and Indian War. It was or stabilizing North America with the natives through trade settlements and buying land on the west settlement.
SALUTARY NEGLECT
It was the British of avoiding strict enforcement of parliamentary laws that were for keeping the American colonies obedient to Great Britain. From 1607 to 1763 it lasted and was designed for the colonies to only trade with England.
STAMP ACT 1765
It was an act that put taxes on printed documents that were for paying for the troops in the seven years war. It made Americans angered and was in 1765.
STAMP ACT CONGRESS
Was a meeting in the building that is now federal hall on October 19th, 1975 that discussed and acted on the stamp act.
SONS OF LIBERTY
A secret organization of American patriots that made the thirteen colonies during the American Revolution. They attacked symbols of British authorities.
COMMITTEES OF CORRESPONDENCE
Before the American Revolution they were bodies of government for written communicating outside the colonies. They were an important role in the revolution.
BOSTON MASSACRE
March 5, 1770 five people died by the British troops which helped to make the rebellion in some british colonies which ended up making the American Revolution.
INTOLERABLE (COERCIVE) ACTS 1774
A series of laws passed by the British parliament in 1774 in British colonies. They made outrage and resistance in the thirteen colonies and contributed to the American Revolution.
SECOND CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 1775
May 10, 1775 a convention of delegates met in the thirteen colonies. In Pennsylvania and soon he revolution started.
NORTHWEST ORDINANCE
An act on the congress of confederation in the United States. July 13, 1787 was when it passed and made the Northwest Territory the first organized territory outside great lakes place.
DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
Was adopted by the continental congress on July 4, 1776 that said the thirteen colonies were now independent during when they were at war with Britain.
COMMON SENSE
A pamphlet written by Thomas Paine published on January 10, 1776. It was quickly successful.
SHAYS REBELLION
An armed uprising in west Massachusetts from 1786 - 1787. Named after Daniel shay.
IMPLIED POWERS (ELASTIC CLAUSE)
Is powers not given to the government directly through the constitution. They are given not directly to the government though.
GREAT COMPROMISE
An agreement of big and small states reached during the Philadelphia convention of 1787 that define a legislative structure and representation that each state would have in the constitution.
STAMP ACT
a tax that is paid for transferring some documents and the document got a stamp on it
DECLARATORY ACT
in 1766 was an act of the parliament of great Britain. it was for regulating the behavior of the colonies and parliament could make laws for the colonies completely
QUARTERING ACT
these acts were for the British troops to have good housing and provisions while they were in the colonies
TOWNSHEND ACT
The reason for the Townshend Acts was to to make revenue more in the colonies to pay for governors and judges that were colonial controllers and to make a more effective means of enforcing compliance with trade regulations, to punish the province of New York for failing to comply with the 1765 Quartering Act, and to establish that the British Parliament had the right to tax the colonies
