Sale of Goods – What is required for the rejection of the goods?

What is a merchant buyer's duty as to rightfully rejected goods?
[1] Notice – buyer that wishes to reject must notify the seller. Must take affirmative action to avoid acceptance.

What is a merchant buyer's duty as to rightfully rejected goods?

Umder UCC 2-603, after there has been a rightful rejection of goods, the buyer is under a duty to:

(1) follow reasonable instructions received from the seller with respect to the goods; and in the absence of such instructions;

(2) make reasonable efforts to sell them for the seller's account. When the buyer sells the goods, he is entitled to reimbursement out of the proceeds for reasonable expenses of caring for and selling them. This amount, however, should not exceed 10% on the gross proceeds, which means 10% of the resale price.
