Columbus landing in the New world
1451-1506. King and queen of Spain agreed to fund the trip. Columbus made 4 voyages and discovered Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, central and south America. Discovery opened up W. Hemisphere to economic and political development. Vikings and Native Americans discovered.
French and Indian War
