4 Stages to the developement of human beings

Stage 1
|
!. Sensorimotor Stage:
Birth-2 yrs. baby egocentric. They cannot perceive the world from other's viewpoints. |

Stage 2
|
2. Preoperational Stage:
2-7 yrs. Starting to be less egocentric. Cannot conserve or use logical thinking. |

Stage 3
|
3. Concrete Operational Stage:
7-11yrs. Can now conserve and think logically but only with practical aids. They are no longer egocentric. |

Stage 4
|
Formal Operational Stage; 11-16yrs. and onwards. Children develop abstract thought and can easily conserve and think logically in their mind.
