- choledochplithiasis
- carcinoma of the pancreas (CA19-9, ampulla (faecal occult blood), bile duct (cholangiocarcinoma) - chronic pancreatitis - strictures of the bile duct - parasitic infection |

- PBC - PSC - alcohol - drugs - liver mets: hepatomegaly or irregular hepatic masses - CF - pregnancy - Mirrezi syndrome: impaction of a gallstone in the neck of gallbladder |
