What is Pressure?
Pressure is the force per unit of area.
What is a Pascal
A Pascal is the unit of measure for PRESSURE.
What is a fluid?
Anything that takes the shape of it's container
What is Pascal's Principle?
Pascal's Principle is the rule that an increase in pressure on a confined fluid is transmitted equally to all parts of the fluid.
What is a hydraulic system?
A hydraulic system transmits an increase in pressure from one part of a confined fluid to the other. The force is transmitted from a small surface area to a larger one.
What is Buoyant Force?
Buoyant force is the upward force on an object submerged in a fluid.
What is Archimedes Principle?
Archimedes Principle is the the rule that the buoyant force on an object is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object.
What is Density?
Density is mass per unit of volume. For our purposes measured in g/cm3 or g/mL.
What is Bernoulli's Principle?
Bernoulli's Principle states that the pressure in a fluid decreases as the speed of the fluid increases.
