Temperature

The level of heat intensity measured with Fahrenheit, Celsius, Rankin or Kelvin

Sensible heat

Heat that causes a change in temperature.

Latent heat

Heat energy absorbed or rejected when a substance is changing state and there is no change in temperature. Also know as hidden heat.

Specific heat

The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1lb of a substance 1°F.

Heat

Energy that causes molecules to be in motion and to raise the temperature of a substance.

Celsius to Fahrenheit

F= (1.8 × °C) + 32°

Fahrenheit to Celsius

C° = (°F - 32°) ÷ 1.8
