Moving large Faders, more automated features - LF, LF cut, EQ on/off, Insert on/off
VCA Automation System 3 Modes
Write, Update, Read
What does the Write Pass establish?
1. Null Points = amount of CV presents at each fader at any particular point in time
2. To/From points = est. where automation starts from and goes to
SSL Terms: Absolute, Trim, Mix Review
Write/ ABS Pass, Update / Trim Pass, Read/ Mix review or Replay
FF: What are the modes and Statuses in regarding the faders?

SSL G Status: 5. What is AT? How do you access this?
Auto Takeover, return fader to null point Quickly. Replay, hit fader stat= trim, hit again= AT
SSL G Status: What is PV? How do you access this?
Preview, heard but not written. (P or 4) Hit stat = preview abs, hit again = abs, 3x= preview trim 4x= trim.
SSL G Status: What is IP? How do you access this?
Immediate Pickup - stop and save = allows you to place a fader into status without pressing fader stat switch
SSL G Status: What happens when you do UA (update by abs) + RC (revise cuts)
Plays Cuts Only
SSL G Status: What is Level Match? How do you access this?
Mix Review, hit MIX

1. Program Disk= Operating Instructions (automated events are temporarily written into this)
2. Reel Disk= Storage Disk (travels with the project, with the tape)
When can you automate on the SSL E/G?
When the system says MIX RUNNING
SSL E/G: How do you put the system in MIX REVIEW? How do yo go back to MIX RUNNING?
Hit rewind @ point in time which creates a rollback point. once you press play and pass the rollback point, changes to MIX RUNNING (can automate from that point)
SSL E/G: What are the 2 ways to punch in pre-rollback point?
