Who is Gregor Mendel?
Father of Genetics. An Austrian monk of the 1800's who figured out the basic pattern of inheritance.

What are the Basic Postulates of Gregor Mendel
1. Each Trait is controlled by a pair of unit factors.
2. Law of segregation. In the formation of gametes the pair separate.
3. The principle of dominance some unit factors.(genes) are dominant some are recessive.
4. The Law of independent assortment. When there are 2 or more pairs. They will assort themselves independently in the gametes
