Bending or move a limb that decreases the angle between the bones at the joint. opposite of extension which increases the angle

Moving parts of the body away from the median plane. For ex. raising the arm laterally. Opposite is Adduction, which would be bringing the arm back to its anatomical position, laying next to the body.
