A. Wind-Cold Attacking the Lung

Severe and frequent cough, sticky or yellow sputum, dry throat, thirst, or runny nose with yellow discharge, aversion to cold, fever, sweating, headache, thin yellow tongue coating, floating and rapid pulse

B. Wind-Heat Penetrating the Lung

Dry, ticklish and persistent cough, small and sticky sputum which is difficult to expectorate, nasal congestion, aversion to cold, fever, headache, red tongue with dry coating, floating and rapid pulse.

Prolonged cough, heavy and turbid voice, a great amount of sticky and greasy sputum, a feeling of oppression of the chest and epigastrium, nausea, poor appetite, general lassitude, loose stool, white and greasy tongue coating, soggy and slippery pulse.

Cough, breathlessness, sticky or yellow fishy difficult to expectorate sputum, feeling of oppression of the chest, dry stool, dark urine, red tongue with thin yellow greasy coating, slippery and rapid pulse.
