they are located in the dermis and are exocrine glands -the duct opens onto the surface of the skin through a pore -helps to regulate body temperature - the process of sweating and the sweat itself are both known as perspiration |

-formed in a hair follicle in the dermis -melanocytes give it color -hair cells are filled with keratin to make strong |

is when your skin gets cold a tiny erector muscle at the base of the hair follicle contracts and causes the hair to stand up |
