Thailand heavily relays on exports, they account for more than 2/3s of their gross domestic product.

According to be National Economic and Social Development Board, Thailand had a GDP of 11.375 Baht or $366 billions, compared to the US's $16.77 trillion GDP in 2012.

The industrial and service sectors are two of the main sectors in Thailand's Gross Domestic Product, accounting for over 39%.

LANGUAGE

Thai, also known as Siamese or central Thai, is the national and official language of Thailand.

The native language, spoken by only 14% of Thailand's population, is Thai Chinese.

When spoken the national language, Thai, becomes mutually interchangeable with Lao, meaning one can understand various parts of both languages without any previous knowledge of the other.

The national language is spoken by over 20 million people.

RELIGION

Since 2007, there has been no official state religion declared by the Thailand constitution . This guarantees religious freedom for all Thai citizens.

However, the king is required by law to be the Theravada Buddhist. Which literally means "school of elder monks" which has to do with the teaching from the oldest records of Buddhist text.
