You cannot multiply or divide with variables in an inequality unless you know the sign of the variable. (You don’t know if you need to switch the sign or not) |

Inequalities, like equations, can be combined to eliminate variables. You can only combine inequalities when the inequality signs are facing the same direction. If the signs are not facing the same way , you can multiply by a negative number to switch that sign. |

With absolute value, you must use the two case approach to determine the two possibilities for the inequality. If there are multiple absolute values in the inequality, it may be too tedious (too many Scenarios) to manipúlate algebraically and you could use number picking. |
