Getting into your cab

make sure you are using three points of contact when entering the cab

Adjust seat

seat belt

(Look at the belt make sure that their is no damage that can compromise your safty. Test the locking mechanism is working. ("ask the instructor to put his seat belt on as well.)

Dash, lights and sun visor.

The overhead dash, lights and sun visor. are properly mounted and secure. All nuts and bolts are present and tight. It has no damage and there is no debris. the lights and sun visor works on both sides.

windshield

the windshield in the front is properly mounted and secure. It not damaged (1 inch crack in the window can take you out of services.)

windshield wipers

The windshield wipers are properly mounted and secure. All nuts and bolts are present and tight. It has no damage. The wipers have no damage, and they are snug to the window. Now I'm going to conduct a wiper and fliud test. (Turn them on make sure they work and the windshield and wiper fluid is working as properly.)

side mirrors

the side mirrors are working properly. They are mounted and secure. All nuts and bolts are present and tight and there is no damage, and they are clean. (ON both sides.)

Side windows

Side windows on both sides are working properly. They are properly mounted and secure. They have no damage, and they are clean.

dashboard

The dashboard is properly mounted and secure. All nuts and bolts are present and tight. It's not damaged And there is no debris.

heater and defroster

the heater and defroster are working properly

safety kit

The safety kit has 6 spare fuses in the glove box. The 3 triangles are securely mounted in the side box. my BC 10 UL fire extinguisher is properly mounted and secure on the floor next to my seat. It is fully charged and in the green and the clip has not been pulled out. It has no been used.

steering wheel

the steering wheel is properly mounted and secure there is no more than 2 inches of play in the wheel. " (demonstrate)" the city and country horn are working properly.

Lights and signal test

(Ask the instructor help with the signals and light test.) The left and right turn signals are working properly. Check your four-way flasher. check your headlights. With the instructor in cab first. then ask the instructor will he assist you with the front and rear light inspection. Before the inspector gets out of the truck tell him everything that I'm going to be doing. L, R flashers. High and low beam headlights. 4-way flasher. I'm the rear l L, R flashers tail lights 4-way flasher

shifter

the shifter is in neutral, the splitter is working fine. The stick itself is not cracked or broken. The boot has no damage. It is properly mounted to the floor.

floor

the floor is clear of any debris that could end up under my pedals and inhibits you from driving safely.

seat

the seat is properly mounted and secure. All nits and bolts are present and tight. And the air ride is adjusted to fit my person.

check the gauges

check the gauges. the oil gauge is at the proper temp level. The water temperature gauge is also at the right level the volt meter and ammeter are at right level between 12 and 15. the tach meter is working properly as you can see when I press the accelerator. I will check my mph meter when I do my tug test. the fuel gauge is at the right level so I can operate this vehicle. my primary and secondary air gauges are between 120 and 140 air pressure in the air tanks. the heater in the defroster are working properly.
