What's the formular for finding the IMC controller? |
How do you find GIMC |
You invert the plant and multiply it by a first order filter |
What do you do to the standard ideal PID equation to get it into a standard form? |
Divide the numerator and denominator by ki and convert the kis into Ti |
What standard form should you be able to get Gc into? |
What do you need to do to Gc first to get it into the standard PID form |
Multiply it by ti/ti but split it into 2 fractions with by multiplying ti by s on the denominator and leaving the numerator the same. The rest goes in the other equation. |
What is the final step to get Gc in the form of a PID controller? |
Multiply it by (tps+1)/(tps+1). The numerator is then (tps+1)^2 and the denominator remains the same. The rest goes in the other equation. You should then be able to split this into the relevant controller gains |
What's the standard form for a IMC controller for a second order system? |
How do you get a second order controller into the PID format? |
Multiply it by (t1+t2) and separate the brackets so that you get (t1+t2) on the denominator |
